What’s Included in a Wellness Exam?
Coat & Skin
During your pet's physical checkup, we will examine their skin or coat for signs of common issues, such as dandruff, lumps, bumps, and abnormal hair loss.
Face & Head
Your pet's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth will be examined for abnormalities or discharge, as well as for symptoms of oral health problems.
Internal Health
Comprehensive internal health exams include checks of heart rate, blood pressure, and organ function to keep your pet’s essential systems in top shape.
Vaccinations & Prevention
Your pet’s exam will also include a review of vaccine schedule and preventative care needs and nutritional care needs.

Do you have any special offers for new clients?
As part of our commitment to your pet's ongoing health and well-being, West Chester Veterinary Medical Center offers our new clients a $25 first routine exam with our animal hospital.

What types of animals do you treat?
We take care of all small domestic pets such as cats and dogs, as well as exotic pets including birds, amphibians and reptiles, as well as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, and other rodents.

How often does my pet need an exam?
Most healthy pets should have a yearly exam, but young kittens and puppies or senior pets will need more frequent check ups. If your pet has a condition that requires treatment, follow-up visits may be an essential part of the treatment plan.
