Willi
K. E. Weichelt, VMD
graduated University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, 1964.
Started the West Chester Veterinary Medical Center, 1966, and the West Chester
Animal Emergency Center in 1990. President of the Pennsylvania Veterinary
Medical Association 1997. Served as Chester County SPCA Board Member and
Co-Chairman Forget Me Not. Member West Goshen Lions Club
since 1973. He and his wife Seija, have two children
Erich and Mark, two grandchildren Anna and Brian, and live with four dogs, Haley, Maddie, Sobo and Dewey, and a cat, Boomer. |

Amy Parkman, VMD
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Amy has special clinical interests in internal medicine and critical care. When not practicing medicine, she resides in Willistown with her husband, two children, dogs, and cat. In her “spare” time, she enjoys gardening and cooking. |

Scott
Humphries, DVM
graduated from Colorado State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Scott was running multiple restaurants in Tennessee when he found his passion for veterinary science, a passion that has brought him widespread experience in animal welfare. When his wife Nicole wanted to come east to be with her family, Scott, their daughter, son and four pets moved to West Chester. They have three Australian shepherds who do therapy, agility and herding and one adopted cat. |

Marc J. Daniel, DVM
Graduated from The Ohio State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Marc and his wife, Suzanne moved to the beautiful Chester County countryside to raise their three children. Marc actively works with Christian Veterinary Missions concentrating on assisting missionaries in Haiti. |

Deborah Newman, CVPM
joined our practice as our hospital manager in January 2008, with more than 40 years of experience. Deborah comes to us from the west coast, where she managed multiple emergency critical care and specialty veterinary hospitals. Her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) accreditation comes from the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. Deborah is married to a retired veterinarian, and has three children, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. |

Andrea (CVT)
joined our team of Certified Veterinary Technicians in both the Day Practice and the Emergency Center. Andrea has worked in a feline veterinary hospital and an emergency hospital. She is a graduate of Harcum College. Andrea lives in Glen Mills with her husband, three children, a German Shepherd named Zach and Stanley the cat. |

Brooke (CVT)
joined our team of Certified Veterinary Technicians in October 2006. She graduated from Manor College and comes to us with six years of experience at the Chester County SPCA. Brooke has two mixed breed dogs named Seige and Tucker, a cat named Riley and four chickens. She also fosters kittens and dogs. |

Jennifer (CVT)
Jennifer joined our practice in June 2009 as a veterinary technician. During her employment, she finished her studies at Harcum College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She is especially interested in emergency and critical care. She lives with her two dogs Sasha and Nova. |

Laura
(CVT)
joined our staff in May 2000. She graduated in May 2004 from Delaware College
with a degree in small animal science. Laura is our inpatient coordinator. She assists in the care of our
hospitalized patients and oversees the inventory. Laura has three adopted cats, two adopted dogs named Vinny and Abby, three ducks, two roosters and a chicken.. |

Michele (CVT)
is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. She received her associate degree from Harcum College in 2003, but has worked as a vet assistant since 1997. Michele enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing and attends continuing education classes to stay current. She lives at home with her cats Fullerton and Gus. |

Rebecca (CVT)
Becky comes to us via Boulder, Colorado from the Boulder Emergency Pet Clinic as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She joined our staff in September 2009. She lives with her three dogs, Bella, Spike, and Jasmine and her cat, Chloe. She enjoys horseback riding whenever she has a chance. |

Amanda
joined our staff as a wardnurse for the both the Day practice and Emergency Center and is now a veterinary technician for both. She is currently our OSHA and Outpatient Coordinator. Amanda has two dogs and two cats – all rescues, two were adopted from our hospital. Amanda also works part-time at Pleasantview Farm in Downingtown teaching horseback riding. When she can find spare time, she enjoys horseback riding herself. |

Charlotte
joined our staff in 2009 with three years experience as a veterinary technician. She is currently enrolled in Delaware County Community College working on a degree in biochemistry. Charlotte lives in West Chester with her two cats, Tiger and Leo, and three fish. |

Heidi
joined our team of veterinary technicians in July 2007. Heidi graduated from Harcum College and has been working in the profession for two years. She is our head lab technician, and makes up the puppy and kitten kits for our clients. Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband, dancing, wearing pink! and shopping. They have a lot of pets: two dogs, Jyxer and Boosa and five cats, Peekaboo, Snickerdoodle, Zoey, Frank and Sprite. |

Holly
one of our technicians, joined the practice in 1999 with nine years of veterinary hospital experience. Since becoming a mother of newborn twins, she works a couple of days a week, mostly helping with inventory and paperwork. Holly and her husband Russell have a daughter, twin boys, three dogs and two cats. |

Karen
has worked as one of our veterinary technicians for 15 years. She works in both our medical center and our emergency center where she is the Coordinator. Karen is married and has two children. They live with their dog Jewel, an SPCA cruelty case rescue. |

Marissa
comes to us with six years of experience as a veterinary technician. You will meet her when you come in for appointments with your pet. She is certified in myofascial release. Marissa is also our Adoption Coordinator. She lives in Downingtown with her fiancé Steven her three rescued cats Noah, Marley and Little Girl and one rescued pitbull, Cash. She has a big place in her heart for all animals, but especially for little baby kittens! |

Wendy
joined our staff in 2009 as a veterinary technician. She brings eight years’ experience in the veterinary field in small animal practices. Wendy lives with her husband, Bryan, two cats named Rush and Ren, a hound mix named Serenity, and Daisy, a three-legged Weimaraner she adopted. |

Gayle
came on board in 2007as a receptionist. In July 2009 she was promoted to Supervisor of Reception, a position for which she is innately qualified due to her many years’ experience in administration and the veterinary field. Gayle’s morning starts at 4:30 am when she begins the rounds for her very busy pet sitting business before she comes in to work for us. Gayle lives with her husband and three daughters, four dogs, three cats, one rabbit, one horse and fish. |

Erica
joined our staff in 2009 with seven years experience in the veterinary field, as both a receptionist and a technician. While she works full-time as a receptionist for us, she also attends Delaware County Community College and expects to receive her Associates degree in Nursing in 2011. Erica lives in Coatesville with her two Boston Terriers, Star and Bumps. |

Nicole
joined us in January 2010 as a receptionist with one and a half years experience in a 24-hour veterinary hospital, similar to ours. She lives in Drexel Hill with her three children, one chocolate lab Versa, and three kitties named Tearrawr, MooMoo, and Pretty Kitty. Her latest challenge is trying to beat her six year-old in Wii bowling! |

Tammi
came to us via Alaska and Texas with three years experience as a veterinary receptionist. Tammi brought 17 years of customer service experience to our practice. She joined our staff in October 2009. Tammi lives with her husband in Thorndale along with two golden retrievers, Sonny and Shelby and Chester, a silky terrier. She has a son in the military and a daughter in nursing school. |

Judith
has been with us for 18 years and maintains the condition of our Centers. She is also responsible for your morning coffee and all the plants. Judy lives in West Goshen and is often accompanied by homeless people and animals. Judy is always rescuing animals. She currently has eight cats and one jack russell. She recently fostered a border collie who delighted in herding the cats. |

Alicia
joined our staff in November of 2009 as a ward nurse. She brings six+ years veterinary experience as a receptionist, veterinary assistant and kennel caretaker. Outside of her work here, Alicia uses behavior modification to train dogs with severe issues. She also fosters, re-homes, and rehabilitates dogs. She lives with six dogs – Brown Bear, Yogi Bear, Doses, Jasmine, Grizz-Lee Bear, Dexter, one cat – Mathusoula, and two reptiles – Balthazar and Stink. |

Danielle
joined our staff in March 2009 as a ward nurse. She works part-time for us while she attends school full-time to become a veterinarian. Danielle lives with her family and three dogs, three cats, two rabbits, one horse and fish. In her free time she competes professionally with her horse in the American Endurance Ride Conference with USA East Endurance and her two coaches. |
